Kenedi Anderson, who left American Idol, released a shady new song amid rumors.
It was “American Idol” front-runner Kenedi Anderson who gave up her “platinum ticket” when she quit the show last week. But she won’t stop singing!
The 17-year-old has released a new, possibly hint-filled original song on TikTok just a few weeks after she dropped out of ABC’s long-running talent show for “personal reasons.”
During the now-deleted video, Anderson said, “Here is the chorus of a song I wrote not too long ago.” She then began to harmonize with herself as she sat at her piano and played.
During the video, she sang, “I need to find, need to find something better than what I had, and with no strings attached.” People thought she left the show because she already had a record deal.
“Don’t I deserve that? Something that doesn’t have any strings attached After she finished her chorus, she told her fans, “That’s all you get.” Days after she took a video from the platform, she took it off.
She already has a hashtag, #Kenicat, but that didn’t stop her fans from commenting on her TikTok about how excited they were about her getting her own record deal. They were also checking out her other videos that she had posted.
American Idol would not have given you the chance that you did. “You’re way better than them!” Another person said, “Rumor has it that you have a record deal…?” If so, “Good luck!”
On April 11, Anderson took to Instagram to say that she was no longer going to be a part of the musical. Her performance in the Top 24 was already done and had been shown the night before. When she sang “Human,” Christina Perri’s hit song, she did a very moving cover.
“I can’t keep going on “American Idol” for personal reasons.” Anderson: “This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I know it’s the right thing to do.”
“I’m so thankful for American Idol, the judges, the producers, the amazing contestants, and all the fans who have been there for me,” the teen told the show. Thanks for giving me the chance to share my voice, chase my dreams, feel so much joy and happiness doing what I love, and make long-term friends along the way.
People who work for show producer Fremantle told the New York Post that they were sad to see Kenedi leave, but they were excited to see how this season of “American Idol” turned out with “incredible talent.”
“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest announced Anderson’s exit right after she sang.
A man said, “You might have noticed that during Kenedi’s performance just now, there was no voting information.” Kenedi has decided to leave our show because of personal reasons. We taped these shows in Hawaii before. We want her to be happy.
