Victor Steeman, who was only 22, died in a terrible crash at the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship Race 1 in Portugal that involved several cars.
The Sun says that his death has devastated the world of motorsport, and the tragedy has been made even worse by the fact that his mother died two days later from a heart attack.
Steeman was a rising star in his sport. He was having a great season and was in the running to win the World Championships.
This season, the Dutchman won four races and finished in the top three five times.
He died in a terrible accident at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve on Turn 14.
Steeman was taken to the hospital right away by helicopter, and the race was stopped.
He had a bad head injury and was taken to Faro Hospital, where he later died.

We’re going to miss Victor a lot.”
