Jennifer Lopez hails from a block deep in Yankees territory — but that hasn’t stopped the Boston Red Sox from showing her some love.
The Beantown squad — which also happens to be rumored beau Ben Affleck’s favorite — demonstrated their love for J.Lo in a new TikTok video, which featured her hanging out at a 2019 Red Sox game with ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez.
“I adore you, @J-Lo #redsox #neverforgetyou #jlo #fenway,” the team captioned the video in July of that year, which featured Lopez hanging out with mascot Wally the Green Monster.
Lopez sat in the stands to watch the Red Sox take on the Los Angeles Dodgers, while Rodriguez — one of Red Sox Nation’s most despised rivals during his time with the Yankees — was in the broadcast booth for ESPN, commentating on the action.
Later, the pair claimed to be reviving their relationship, but called it quits a month later.
Lopez has recently rekindled her feelings for former boyfriend Affleck, and even spent two weekends with him at an exclusive Montana resort.
“We’ve realized we’re stronger as friends and look forward to staying that way,” J.Lo and A-Rod told the “Today” show. “We will continue to collaborate and support one another on our common businesses and endeavors. We wish each other and our children the best.”
Lopez, 51, paid tribute to her mother earlier this month by performing Neil Diamond’s Red Sox anthem “Sweet Caroline” at Global Citizen’s “Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World.”
Affleck, 48, appeared in a segment following her performance, according to sources.
The second coming of “Bennifer” has accelerated, with an insider telling Us Weekly last Friday, “They are taking it slowly, but things are moving in a romantic direction.”
Lopez and Affleck were engaged in 2002 but ended their relationship two years later. Lopez received a pink diamond engagement ring worth more than $1 million from Affleck.
Jennifer Lawrence recently joined the chorus of fans who are deliriously excited about the prospect of a “Bennifer 2.0.”
