A skateboarder and model shows how her face changed after a pit bull bit it.

Brook Khoury is a pro skateboarder and model who lost her upper lip in a dog attack. She has shared amazing photos of her face as it heals.

Brooklinn Khoury is a professional skateboarder and model who was attacked by a pit bull and had her upper lip ripped off. She is still writing about her emotional and physical recovery.

In November 2020, her cousin’s dog bit the 23-year-old woman from California.

Even after two years, her upper lip and parts of her nose still need to be fixed.

Last week, Khoury went to the beauty store Sephora and a worker used makeup to draw on an upper lip.

The week before, she wrote about going to the doctor and getting a face moulage, which is a mold of her face that helps doctors keep track of her progress and plan for future surgeries.

Khoury’s progress since the brutal attack was shown by a series of pictures of her face with different masks.

But a series of profile pictures from after the attack to now showed how much she had changed even more clearly.

Along with the photos, Khoury posted something she had written just a few months after the attack: “I don’t expect anyone to understand, because how could you? I’m not sure how to describe how I feel when I look at myself in the mirror. It’s as if I’m a stranger but in the body of someone I know. She looks familiar, but she acts in a different way. When I look up at myself, I see someone who has been fixed up to hide a mistake that should never have happened. I see someone who is tired of having to explain herself to a society that is obsessed with being perfect. She is trying to love what she sees, but she is afraid of what she sees.

Khoury said, “When I was in the attack, it was hard to see where my life was going. Thank God for giving me the strength and the people in my life who help me grow, and continue to trust the process.

Khoury’s long recovery has been helped by her girlfriend Chloe Lukasiak, who became famous as a child on the reality TV show Dance Moms.

She said about the pictures, “That little nose was my favorite before, after, and now.”

She had earlier posted a picture of the couple with the words, “Two years ago, the worst thing that could have happened, did. And yet, you’re still a person made of pure sunshine. There is no one else like you in the world, my love.”

She went to pet Diesel, an 8-year-old pit bull who belonged to her cousin and who she had met many times before.

“I told him, ‘You’re such a good boy.’ “He jumped from where he was sitting right onto my face,” she said.

“I was on my feet and he was sitting down. He just came out of nowhere. And he was literally hanging off my lip, with his arms and legs. And my first thought was, “Oh my God, get on the ground with him, hold his head, and go wherever he goes.” I was finally able to let go. Then something hit the wall after flying through the air.”

Her shirt was full of blood, and there was a piece of her face on the floor. She went to the hospital, but doctors couldn’t put her upper lip back together.

Khoury has since said that doctors took skin from the inside of her forearm to use as a base for her upper lip. They then covered the skin taken from her wrist with skin from her upper arm.
