A TikTok star who made fun of killing has been arrested with his mother for murder. They were both charged with murder.
Last week, two men died in a suspected car chase in Leicestershire, England. A TikTok star who made a satirical video about killing someone has been charged with their murder. Her mother and three other people have also been charged.
A woman named Natasha Akhtar, 21, is said to have chased down and run Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin and Saqib Hussain, both 21, off the road, killing them and tearing their car in half overnight on Friday. Mahek Bukhari and her mother, Ansreen Bukhari, were both 22 at the time.
It’s not clear how Raees Jamal, 21, and Rekan Karwan, 28, were also charged with killing someone in the crash. In court Thursday, the BBC said.
When the mother, daughter, and Akhtar appeared in Leicester Crown Court, the judge asked them if they knew that they face “the most serious charge known to criminal law.” Each said “yes,” prompting a one-word answer from each during the early hearing.
Fashion blogger May B Vlogs, who is also a strong supporter of Palestine, made an ill-timed video in January in which she pretended to tell another person that she had “killed someone” while Shawn Mendes’ “It’ll Be Okay” played over the clip. Mahek has a TikTok following of 128,000 and 3.2 million likes.
In a YouTube video from last November, she also talked about having a “beef” with other influencers.
“Beef” came to me last year, Mahek said, and “I cut off a lot of people, a lot of TikTokers, in fact, which was good for my mental health as well.” This is how it looks now: “I’m literally flourishing and growing.”
Mahek recently posted a TikTok video in which a flashy car can be seen recklessly swerving on a road. TikTok warned that “participating in this activity could result in you or others getting hurt,” so they added a disclaimer to the video.
If you live in Stoke-on-Trent and work for a security company, Ansreen is the person in charge of the company. Her daughter has praised her on TikTok many times in the past. It was last September when Mahek posted a video that showed off the “elite relationship” they had. She said she was “so blessed” to have her as “my mother, best friend, and sister all in one.”
Dad Sikander Hayat told the Daily Mail that his son was just trying to help his cousin get through a hard time the night of the crash. Ijazuddin was just trying to help his cousin get through a hard time.

Sad: “Saqib was very down about everything.” In general, Hashim (Ijazuddin) was a big fan of him and cared about other people as well. He would do anything to help someone, Hayat said, adding that Ijazuddin took the car from his grandfather to drive Hussain to see a friend.
This is how he was. He was just doing a good thing because he didn’t want to say “no” to anyone who was in trouble. My son had nothing to do with this.
Mahek, Ansreen, and Akhtar, who face another hearing on March 18, are set to go on trial in late September, according to the Daily Mail. They’ll be tried together.
