After hitting her neighbor with a 10-pound meat stick at a Walmart, a woman pleaded guilty.
It really is beef.
An Ohio woman beat her former neighbor with a 10 pound bar of ground beef after they ran into each other at a Walmart.
The Smoking Gun reports that Maneka Garner, who was 27 years old at the time of the attack in May 2021, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Prosecutors said he was given a $155 fine and a 30-day prison sentence that he will not serve.
The outlet said Garner was shopping at the South Euclid megastore with his 5-year-old son when he spotted Precious Jackson and his 7-year-old daughter.
The suspect confronted Jackson in the hallway with potato chips, pulled off his mask, and tried to spit on him. He then threatened to beat up Jackson and his daughter, the news outlet said.
Investigators said Garner then took a $22 piece of meat from Jackson’s wagon and hit him “several times in the face” with it.
Jackson got a restraining order against the suspect when he lived downstairs from her in a duplex. According to arrest records, Garner told police he thought the protective order had expired.
Police documents on the site show Garner was first charged with assault and violating a restraining order.
