Nicole Kidman discusses her role as Lucille Ball in her new film.
Becoming the Ricardos will see the 53 year-old Australian actress become the renowned comedian. For parts in “Moulin Rouge,” “The Undoing,” and “Bombshell,” Kidman has had to disguise her Australian accent. According to Variety, Kidman revealed in Chris Rock that mimicking Ball’s way of speech is particularly difficult.
Kidman and Rock were talking about the things they do to prepare for a role in an upcoming movie. To the comic, Kidman explained that she sees accents as homework and spends a lot of time working on them, but that she has gone above and above for her upcoming role in the film.
In order to understand Lucille Ball, she had to spend a lot of time with her. “She has a very distinctive way of speaking,” she noted.
“Being the Ricardos” by Aaron Sorkin follows Ball and her husband, Desi Arnaz, as they struggle with their marriage and their careers. Kidman acknowledges that she’s had to overcome her own issues in order to depict Ball on screen.

“Chris, I’m absolutely out of my element right now. As if I’m falling out of the sky, “Kidson was quoted as saying. “If I could, I’d like to be witty. I’m never funny in movies.”
“The Undoing,” an HBO thriller starring Hugh Grant as Jonathan Fraser, was her most recent appearance. While her husband is on trial for the murder of his mistress, Kidman plays a successful psychotherapist who reveals incriminating information about him to the jury. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, she also had problems in that capacity.
USA TODAY quoted Kidman as saying: “I wish I could say that it’s easy, but it’s not.” “Testing occurs three times a week, everyone is masked, and there are designated areas where you must perform your duties So satisfying to be able to provide employment for people in the present moment. “For now,” I will add, because you could be shut off at any time.”
A release date has not been announced for “Being the Ricardos,” which is now in post-production according to IMDb
