A social media influencer has opened up to her followers in an attempt to “normalize” previously private aspects of her life.
Kayla used TikTok to demonstrate to her fans that her life is far from perfect.
“Just a reminder that everyone has insecurities/topics they avoid discussing,” she captioned the video.
According to the clip, she has “one female friend,” is “alone 99 percent of the time,” has a “low libido,” and “hates drinking alcohol.”
She also admitted to struggling with body dysmorphia, a mental illness characterized by constant worry about a perceived or minor flaw in appearance.
Since then, the video has been viewed over 3.1 million times.
The post was clearly well-received by her followers, with thousands expressing their support for the trend and expressing gratitude to Kayla for her candor.
“I’m relieved I’m not alone,” one girl wrote, while another added, “wow, thank you for making me feel better.”
“So I’m not alone in having a low libido??!! This IS something that NEEDS to be discussed more,” another added.
Kayla later expressed gratitude for her followers’ support, stating that it helped her feel “normal” and “better about herself.”
“It’s a wonderful sensation… so just know you’re not alone!” she added.
