The Magpies’ coach confirms his relationship with former model and cosmetic nurse Alex Pike.

Nathan Buckley, the Collingwood coach, is reportedly dating Melbourne cosmetic nurse Alex Pike following his 18-year marriage to Tania Buckley.

Nathan, 48, and Pike, 43, made their relationship public this week when they made their first public appearance together.

In tabloid photographs published on Wednesday, May 26, the pair are seen wearing activewear as they stroll through Melbourne’s streets.

Pike is a single mother of three children who resides in South Yarra. She was signed to Chadwicks Model Management in 1990, at the age of 12, after competing in a Dolly Cover Girl competition. She originally intended to study journalism before deciding on nursing, in part because her mother is a nurse and her father is a pharmacist.

Alex Pike owns her own cosmetic surgery practice, Face by Alex Pike.

According to her website, Pike’s previous career as a model provides her with “practical insight into the importance of maintaining our best appearance and how it can enhance our daily and professional lives.”

Rumours of her relationship with Nathan first surfaced in January, just weeks after the embattled Magpies coach confirmed his split from Tania via a social media statement.

“It’s been a difficult and trying year for every family, including ours,” the couple announced on December 4. “We made the decision to separate in January with the utmost love and respect for one another and a genuine commitment to our sons.” We remain dedicated parents, and in the best interests of our sons, we request that our family be granted the necessary privacy.”

The couple has two sons together: Jett, 15, and Ayce, 12.
