Guy Sebastian was called back to the stand as a witness in the trial of his ex-manager after wedding wishes were sent to one of his biggest fans.
Guy Sebastian surprised everyone by going back to court as a witness after it came out that he texted a superfan about flights to a fancy wedding.
Guy Sebastian is back in court because he sent a series of messages about a fancy wedding in Venice.
On Monday, the singer went back into the witness box to give more information in the trial of his former manager, Titus Day. Day is being tried for allegedly stealing $900,000 owed to Mr. Sebastian through fraud.
Christian Bugno is a huge Mr. Sebastian fan. In 2016, he sang at his wedding in Venice. He told the NSW District Court that on May 23, he got multiple text messages from the former Australian Idol winner.
In the messages, which were sent between cross-examinations of Mr. Sebastian, Mr. Bugno said that his father paid for Mr. Day and Mr. Sebastian to fly to the wedding.
Mr. Sebastian was paid to perform at the ceremony, and Mr. Day was supposed to get 20% of that money. However, it is said that Mr. Day kept more money than he was supposed to.

Mr. Day’s lawyer, Dominic Toomey SC, told the court that Mr. Sebastian was allowed to talk to the Crown prosecutor’s team after he was cross-examined on May 23. However, Mr. Bugno was not mentioned, and everyone was told not to talk about evidence in the trial with anyone else.
When asked if he knew he could get in touch with Mr. Bugno, Mr. Sebastian said, “No one told me I couldn’t.”
“Nothing like that was said to me… Mr. Sebastian said, “If I can give you information, I will, even if I know it’s wrong.”
“The whole point was to get information that was relevant to the cross-examination.”
When Mr. Toomey asked Mr. Sebastian if he thought it was his job to gather evidence in criminal cases, Mr. Sebastian said, “Well, I’m the one with the contact.”
“I told him I’d send a text to find out who traveled,” Mr. Sebastian said.
“Since we’re in court, I can’t just say, “Oh, I remember,” I need to get proof.”
I can still remember Mr. Day saying, “Our flights are paid for, let’s go over there.” I did everything by the book.”
