Following Mackenzie’s massive hickey on her neck, the ladies ambush Farmer Sam, resulting in an angry storm-off.
To say that our farmers are in over their heads is a gross exaggeration.
Farmer Wants A Wife’s third episode has officially aired, and one thing is for certain: things are heating up.
Farmer Sam is in a pickle after giving Mackenzie a not-so-subtle hickey on her neck, which is noticed by the other ladies.
While Mackeznie and Demi are having a good time on the water, Nickia and Allanah discuss the previous evening’s events.
Nickia explains to Allanah, “Mackenzie didn’t go to bed until 2.30 a.m., and then she saw my mouth fall open this morning and was like, ‘What?’ “
‘Is that a hickey on your neck?’ I inquired. And she’s like, ‘What are you talking about? That’s a bruise.'”
Additionally, Allanah has noticed how close Mackenzie and Sam are becoming.
“It affects everyone, not just me,” Allanah tells the camera.
Shortly afterwards, Allanah interrogates Sam in front of all the girls about the hickey. “May we discuss last night’s big hickey?”
Sam, clearly nervous, inquires, “Is it a rash or a hickey?”
“You would know, you placed it there,” Allanah states.
“So you guys hooked up last night?” Nickia inquires.
Sam decides that candor is the best policy and responds, “Yeah, we did.”
Nickia expresses gratitude to him for speaking the truth, but this does not end the ladies’ interrogation.
Demi rips into him, claiming that Mackenzie was receiving all of his attention while he ignored the other girls.
Sam’s interrogation becomes too much for him, and he decides to rise and walk away.
“It felt as if everyone was ganging up on him,” Mackenzie says to the camera.
However, if you believe that was the most dramatic part of the episode, you are mistaken.
Andrew the farmer finds himself in hot water after Lucy leaks information about his alleged frontrunners.
Lucy informs Rachael that while she was out with Andrew a couple of nights ago, he revealed to her that both Lucy and Jess were “frontrunners” when he first saw their profiles.
Additionally, she revealed that they went in for a hug, “and he sort of leant in for a peck, and I kind of turned my head, not wanting to step on anyone’s toes.”
She implied that the kiss landed on her cheek and that it “wasn’t a big deal.”
Rachael is enraged and demands to speak with Andrew immediately.
“I want to speak with Andrew as soon as possible. If he does have a pecking order with frontrunners, I want to go home,” she admits.
Later in the episode, Lucy informs the other ladies that Andrew informed her that she and Jess were leading the pack.
Jess, unimpressed, says to the camera, “It was a massive thing she was saying, and it was particularly offensive to Rach, Ash, and Caity because they weren’t at the top of the pecking order.”
Rachael quickly gets the opportunity to question Andrew about this alleged pecking order, and he admits that he was particularly interested in meeting Lucy and Jess after reading their bios, but he was open to meeting everyone.
“I should not have mentioned the profile because now this is a storm in a teacup and she has completely misinterpreted the situation,” he explained.
Rachael takes a contrary position.
“I don’t see it as a storm in a cup, and that’s a big deal for me, because I’ve reached a point where I don’t want to be here,” she explained.
Andrew admits in a piece to the camera, “I felt terrible that I’d hurt Rach because she’s such a nice girl.” Why would you wish to cause harm to Rach?”
Concerning the apparent near-kiss, the girls are perplexed as to why Lucy would “reject” Andrew’s kiss in the first place.
“It wasn’t a rejection; it was a close encounter,” Lucy explains.
Jess was adamant that she would never reject Andrew’s kiss.
“She was obsessed with him; I truly believe that if he attempted to kiss her, she would have been all over it,” she explained.
Andrew assures Rachael that he never attempted to kiss Lucy, telling her that he “did not attempt to kiss Lucy.”
Andrew claims it was a cheek kiss, claiming Lucy misread the entire situation.
