It happened in Miami, and the man was killed. His girlfriend, who is said to be a “OnlyFans Model,” was reportedly arrested.
Following the death of a Texas man, his friends are speaking out. The 27-year-old was stabbed to death at a luxury Miami condo in what local police have called a “domestic dispute.”
It happened at the One Paraiso Residences condominium complex on Sunday evening, according to a regional report from WTVJ. Local police first responded to a report that a man had been stabbed, but then found out that the man had been killed. There were signs of a fight before the stabbing, and the man who was stabbed was later named by friends as Christian Toby Obumseli.
Obumseli, according to a separate report from the Dallas Morning News, moved to Florida with his girlfriend “a few months ago.” When police arrived at the scene, he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died. Josh Ramsey, who is said to be a friend of both people, said that he and other friends were “shocked” by the death of the two people. He likened the situation to something “out of a crime movie.”
As WPLG reported this week, three people who said they were friends of the couple were also interviewed. The group had identified the girlfriend as “OnlyFans model and Instagram influencer” Courtney Clenney, 25, who is 25. This did not get announced right away or get confirmed by local authorities.
Christian wouldn’t put her in a situation where she’d have to stab him to protect herself, one of her friends told the magazine. Other people had “seen her hit him,” but Vaughn said that she and the other two friends hadn’t.
An alleged neighbor, on the other hand, was featured in the same WPLG piece as saying that Obumseli “swung at her” about a week before the stabbing.
At the time of this writing, no charges in the stabbing had been made public. Clenney was “detained” after the stabbing, WPLG reported on Wednesday. At that point, police say she made threats to kill herself. She is said to have been taken to the hospital by the Baker Act, which is the Florida Mental Health Act of 1971.
For more information, Complex has reached out to the police in Miami. This story could be changed. Initial reports on the stabbing have pointed out that local police have responded to several disturbance calls at the home in the last few months. The investigation is still going on.
