Iggy Azalea allegedly witnessed Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, engaging in ‘abusive behavior.’
Iggy Azalea recalled witnessing Jamie Spears’ allegedly “abusive” behavior toward Britney Spears “personally.”
The “Fancy” rapper penned a Notes app message Wednesday defending the “Toxic” pop star, claiming she is not “exaggerating or lying” about her father’s conservatorship control over her.
“It is basic human decency to at the very least remove a person from Britney’s life who she has identified as abusive. Azalea, 31, began, “This should be illegal.”
Azalea claimed that while working on their 2015 collaboration, “Pretty Girls,” she witnessed Jamie’s heinous behavior, which Britney, 39, detailed in her heartbreaking testimony during her conservatorship hearing last week.
“Throughout our time together in 2015, I witnessed the same behavior Britney described last week regarding her father, and I just want to reassure the world that she is not exaggerating or lying,” Azalea continued.

“I witnessed her being restricted in even the most bizarre and trivial ways, such as the number of sodas she was permitted to drink. Why is that necessary at all?”
Azalea claimed that Jamie “conveniently” waited until “moments before” the duo’s 2015 Billboard Music Awards performance to coerce her into signing an NDA — or else “he would not allow me on stage.”
“The way he went about convincing me to sign a contract sounded suspiciously similar to the tactics Britney discussed last week in relation to her Las Vegas show,” Azalea explained.
“Jamie Spears has a history of coercing people into signing documents under duress, and Britney Spears should not be compelled to coexist with that man when she has stated that it is affecting her mental health.
“This is completely unacceptable,” she concluded.
Azalea’s comments follow Judge Brenda Penny’s official denial on Wednesday of Britney’s February request to have her father removed as conservator.
Britney claimed last week that her father, who is now living in a trailer, should be jailed for allegedly abusing and controlling her. Additionally, she claims he will not allow her to have her birth control removed, which will prevent her from having a baby with boyfriend Sam Asghari.
