HEARTBREAKING Major news about the deaths of a 5-year-old girl and her baby brother, who were killed by their family’s pit bulls.
A series of heartbreaking photos have helped find the names of the two children whose pit bulls killed them.
On Wednesday, Lilly Jane Bennard, age 2, and Hollace Dean Bennard, age 5 months, both died after their family dogs attacked them out of the blue.
On Wednesday, the horrifying find was made in a Tennessee home near Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park.
Kirstie Jane Bennard, 30, the mother of the children, was also attacked in the horrifying incident and is in critical condition in the hospital.
The Daily Mail says that Kirstie tried for “more than 10 minutes” to save her children from the dogs.
Kirstie’s husband, Jeff Gibson, who was not hurt in the attack, told the news outlet that his wife has “uncountable stitches and bite marks all over her body, including her face.”
He also said that his wife’s “arms and legs are all wrapped up/bandaged.”
Gibson told the Mail that Kirstie’s injuries won’t be permanent, except for her heart, which won’t get better.
A friend of the family told the news outlet that the mother of two is “holding on.”
The dogs were taken in by the county’s Animal Control, and they have since been put to sleep.
